Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and his family are self-quarantining after their possible exposure to COVID-19. On Sunday, the governor stated his family is committed to setting an example and will follow state quarantine guidelines.
Beshear noted he and his family haven’t shown any symptoms. So far, they have all tested negative for the virus.
His announcement came a day after a member from the governor’s security detail tested positive.
“None of us have tested positive,” he said. “We feel great, …but we want to make sure we’re setting the example and that we’re also keeping other people around us safe.”
