France: Muslim with knife, screwdriver and Qur’an screams ‘You will see in 2021, Islam, we will kill you all’
By Robert Spencer, December 1, 2020:
Yet another Misunderstander of the Religion of Peace. Has this poor fellow been reading “Islamophobic” literature? Has Pope Francis traveled to Montpellier yet in order to explain to him that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence”? Why not?
“Montpellier: drunk, he defends terrorism in the middle of a tram train,”
This Friday, November 20, at around 5.30 p.m., an individual made disturbing comments in the tram defending terrorism. An isolated act, but at the very least shocking. Several users of line 2 gave the alert by dialing 17.
According to their corroborating testimonies, the respondent, drunk, uttered threats in a loud and intelligible voice, such as: “I’m going to kill you, slaughter you, you son of a bitch. You will see in 2021, Islam, we will kill you all. ” He even verbally attacked a passenger who was looking at him, completely stunned by what he had just heard.
Forced to get off the tram
Two travelers then forced him to get off at the Comédie stop before a patrol of national police officers proceeded to arrest him while he was going back down towards the station.
Searching him, the police found a Swiss army knife, a screwdriver, pruning shears, a Koran and a prayer rug. Placed in police custody, he could be heard after his sobering up. The 33-year-old man denied outright the charges against him, only acknowledging that he had been involved in religion for a year. This practicing believer confessed that without prayer, he would not be prevented from doing bad things.
For three years, he has changed his behavior
A version confirmed by his ex-wife was also heard. She explained that for three years, he had changed his behavior following the death of one of his relatives. According to her, he started by taking drugs and alcohol. But he would never have been violent, if not against himself.
He was finally brought before the Montpellier prosecutor’s office and was to be presented as part of an immediate appearance before the court.
